Located in the hilly residential suburb of Yeonje-gu, Busan, South Korea, Yuseong High is surrounded by peaceful greenery spaces, local temples, and a shopping district that will surely enrich anyone’s stay. Trail leading to the school is flanked by a riverside footpath, cherry blossom trees that bloom seasonally. Climate in the area is typically mild, extremely high or extremely low temperatures are rare. The average temperature is 22.4 °C (72 °F), with a minimum of 18.6 °C (65.6 °F) and a maximum of 26.1 °C (78.9 °F). On the coldest nights, the temperature usually drops to around 14 °C (57.5 °F).What the school is most proud of is, however, the clear starry night that embarks the evening whenever the sky decides to darken. Students in Yuseong High majorly are interested in astronomy, many of them frequently go stargazing by visiting the school’s rooftop to do so.This group will center around the daily lives of Yuseong High students. With the genre of slice-of-life, the group primarily will focus on RPs and occasional Art. While continuous active participation in events are not required, we hope Yuseong High can be a casual, close-knit space for members to get to know each other and have fun!

A: There will be no pre-server and app check for this group.Q: How many members are you planning to accept to the group?
A: We're planning to accept around 20 students in each year, so that would amount to 60 people!Q: In the Character creation section you explain about the freedom given for each OCs' visuals, does this mean we can give our OC a unique outerwear or is it only like changing the shoes/socks?
A: Yes you are allowed to give your OC a unique outerwear!Q: Do we need to send our apps anywhere before we get invited? I didn’t see a place to but I wanted to be sure.
A: Yes! You will need to submit your app through the google form link that's posted in the group's twitter.Q: Hello! I have a quick question! I’m going over the rules and seeing that we must write our OC’s name in Hangul on their nameplate. What of those with foreign names? How do we go about writing that down?
A: Names written in the id card and also name tag should be written in hangul! Usually foreign names are transliterate phonetically and write that in hangul so that it's easier to call them by their actual names... like example, "Leliana" turning into "렐리아나" and "Sachiko" -> "사치코"Q: How are we supposed to write the year in the ID card?
A: Example: either 1st or Year 1 !Q: I was wondering if a reservation was required to submit an app? or is it just optional to reserve?
A: Yes reserving is optional, however reservation also serves to claim a first name since repeated first names are not allowed. So in the case that someone has already reserved the name you'd like to use and they got in, possibly upon acceptance you'll have to change your character's name to something else! So it is recommended to put down a reservation.

APPLICATION ANNOUNCEMENT:Greetings! Thank you to everyone for patiently waiting for the results. This opening, we only have a total of 2 spots for first year, 3 spots for second year, and 5 spots for third year, so we could only accept 12 new students in total. Please keep this in mind when compared to the amount of apps we received, we are not able to take in more as we are a group that’s only managed by 2 mods. With that, we will now announce the second batch of Yuseong High students, welcome!» YEAR 1★ CLASS 1A:
1. Ha, Guseul
2. Lee, Hyun-soo★ CLASS 1B:
1. -» YEAR 2★ CLASS 2A:
1. Sun, Hanbyul★ CLASS 2B:
1. Han, Ji-eun
2. Ha, Eunwoo» YEAR 3★ CLASS 3A:
1. Kim, Da-Eun
2. Jo, Hajun
3. Kim, Su-jin★ CLASS 3B:
1. Min, Dohyun
2. Bang, YebinSimilar to the first opening, we will not be able to give individual feedback to each applicant. Please refrain from sending a DM to Yuseong’s twitter account or a mod through any platform. Any messages regarding this subject will not be given a response. Instead, we’ve listed down some general feedback that will hopefully help give insight on the decision that was made.1. Character personalities too similar to one of the current cast.
Because we already have an existing cast, for this opening we heavily focused on the personalities to bring new dynamics within the group. There were quite a noticeable amount of characters that shared similar tropes and personalities with the already existing characters in Yuseong High. So this might be the reason if not one of the reasons why we aren’t able to accept your submission this time around.2. Half-korean/Foreign students.
As we already have a handful of foreign students or characters that were born/grew up overseas, this opening we decided to only accept local characters. Yuseong is once again not an international school, so therefore the amount of foreign characters will be limited. This was one of the key factors upon deciding the final cast for the second opening.3. Reserved or ex/delinquent characters.
We have received quite a noticeable amount of characters who ‘doesn’t care for the people around them’, ‘isn’t one to approach others first and would only respond while being spoken to’, ‘prefer to be in the background unbothered’. While there is nothing wrong with characters like these tropes, we wanted to have additions that will bring new light to Yuseong. We also decided not to accept more ex-delinquent characters, especially those who got into fights and were expelled from their previous school. While we have that specific trope currently in the group, that is exactly why canonically Yuseong will turn away their transfer application.4. Absent/neglected/single parents or characters under the care of their relatives.
While this happens in real life, this theme seemed to be a common one that appears too frequent amongst the second opening submissions. It is also not rare to see characters that were sent away by their parents to live with their grandmother/grandfather/or both grandparents. Since this became mainstream, we ended up leaning more towards characters who were still living with their parents, even if they don’t have the best of relationships.5. Personalities not elaborated and/or no flaws in character traits.
While bullet points in the personalities are allowed, we fail to understand the depth of the character when those traits are not elaborated. We wanted to know how the character specifically acts, and what makes them who they are. Furthermore, there were some character descriptions that did not include flaws in their characters. While we do not limit everyone to categorized their character’s personalities into positive, neutral, or negative traits, we wanted to see a well written and balanced persona.6. Loopholes in backstory and lack of coherence.
When reading the backstory for submitted characters, we wanted to see clear explanations on the events that happened in their lives. We read some histories, and instead of getting clarity, it left us to wonder, and made us have more questions regarding a lot of things.7. Fierce competition for 1st and 2nd years.
As stated above, 1st year and 2nd year both respectively only had 2 and 3 slots opened. However, evidently, both years received a larger amount of applicants compared to 3rd year that had more spots. So in the end, we had to make difficult decisions to finalize the cast for both years.8. Written App.
Additionally, what we focused on the most was how cohesive and how much clarity the written app gives to describe the character. We leaned towards written apps that gave us a clear understanding of how a character acts, and how much their current self is connected with their history/background.9. Ride or die.
In this second opening, it was harder to accept ride or die applicants, especially those who applied to different years. Because of the limited spots in first and second years, there were some cases where third year applicants would be accepted but they have a ride or die in the other two years.Congratulations to everyone that was accepted as Yuseong High students! The mods will contact the new students either through the group’s twitter account or through discord (look out for a discord friend request/chat from zeha!) In the next 48 hours, accepted members will be given the official discord server link, please contact the mods if you haven’t received the link in the timespan provided. Once again, we would like to extend our biggest thank you’s for everyone’s interest and effort in applying to Yuseong High. May the stars align for us to meet at another time! ★
